Researchers Awarded $1.5 Million to Investigate Future of Coastal Communities

Andy Keeler, ECU professor of economics and program head for public policy and coastal sustainability at the UNC Coastal Studies Institute, is part of an interdisciplinary team of researchers investigating how public policies affect both economic decisions and the coastal environment.

The Voyages of Discovery Series advances the spirit of exploration and discovery that is the hallmark of the arts and sciences, and has become the premier intellectual event for students and faculty of ECU, the citizens of eastern North Carolina, and a showcase for the quality of academic life at the university.

Each year, the series features thought-provoking and accomplished leaders from a variety of disciplines who provide insight into important issues in today’s society, and who share their experiences and perspectives.


ECU students may request a free ticket by going directly to the ECU Central Ticket Office, and presenting his or her ECU One Card.
